Animation is one of the art forms closest to representing a dream. Animation can jump from a train to a whale's back in a second; a woman can transform into a golden bee in a blink. The magical transformations and free associations of the mind are visual techniques of both dreams and animation.
Make a <90 second animated video of one of your dreams - there are 6 prizes of $600 each, and a $100 screening fee for everyone who's selected.
This year's theme is "urban spaces", so ideally it's a dream set in the built environment.
The festival is supported by the dream researcher Kelly Bulkeley, the Elsewhere dream journal app, and coordinated by Linda Koncz, a dream and film researcher based in Lisbon.

Previous years have had an opening event at 1399 Art Space in Lisbon, probably this year will be a smaller private screening event but we'll publicise the winners on all the websites and socials (including the videos themselves, but only with permission).
